Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why is the reciter different from what’s written on the screen?
Sometimes, the live stream from Makkah plays a different reciter than the one shown on the screen. This happens because some reciters (or their families) have copyrights on their Quran recitations. This means the streamers need special permission to use their recordings. If they don’t have permission, they must switch to a reciter whose recordings are allowed to be used.
If they don’t do this, YouTube could close the stream due to copyright rules. The streamers work hard to keep the stream running smoothly for everyone, so we appreciate their efforts in making the Quran available to us all the time!
Why does the stream sometimes stop or buffer?
The stream may stop or buffer due to internet issues, high traffic, or technical problems. We try our best to keep the stream running smoothly. Refreshing the page or checking your internet connection can often resolve the issue.
How can I support the stream?

Is the stream available 24/7?
